SUMMER READING LISTS (2010)

Please select the Summer Reading List (SRL) for the level that your child will be entering in the fall. Parents are encouraged to help their children accomplish their summer reading goals.


BIRTHDAY BOOK TRADITION

Some families at Thacher participate in a lovely tradition of honoring their child's birthday by donating a book to the school library. The donated book can be shared with the class at the child's birthday celebration, and then shared with the entire school in the library. This is an optional tradition.

Shortly before each child's birthday, a letter and personalized bookplate are sent to the parents along with a list of suggested books. Lists appropriate for each grade level:

Toddler
Children's House
Lower Elementary
Upper Elementary and Adolescent Program
